Hatherleigh Town Council acts as the burial authority and has legal responsibility for the administration and maintenance of the parish cemetery adjacent to St Johns churchyard.
The income from burial fees is ring-fenced and reserved for expenditure related to the cemetery and for the future purchase of burial land.
