Hatherleigh Carnival had some special visitors this year with the Mayor & Mayoress of West Devon attending the afternoon children’s procession following an invitation from the Carnival Committee.
Councillor Tony Leech and his wife, Sue were escorted by Hatherleigh Mayor Clare Tyson and District Councillor Patrick Kimber as they followed the parade down through the town to the Community Centre where they watched the judging of the children’s carnival floats.
Here they are catching a bit of shelter in the Visitor Information Centre in a brief rain spell.
